Ahn Presents at Getting to Zero National Forum

On April 17, 2018, Calvin Ahn, Associate Principal/Senior Project Manager, presented "Alexa Optimize Performance: The Future of Voice Interactive Building Dashboards" at the Getting to Zero National Forum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Calvin's presentation focused on the design of the Zero Energy ready MacArthur Elementary School in Binghamton, New York. While designing the Net Zero ready MacArthur Elementary School, the design team decided to stretch the role of the “building dashboard”. The client and team designed a voice responsive interactive persona named “Arthur”. Arthur asks and answers age appropriate subject and behavior questions as well as influences understanding and behavior around weather and energy use.
