Cold Spring Apartments. RUPCO, INC.

This 9% LIHTC-funded project in Tannersville, NY includes a mix of Senior and Affordable Housing as well as fitness centers, community rooms, offices, and storage units. The buildings surround a mix of green spaces with pavilions, community gardens, outdoor fitness areas and a children’s play area, creating a vibrant outdoor focus for the residents. Views of the Catskills are highlighted from the private balconies available to each unit.

Sustainability is a focal point for this project and it will pursue multiple green building certifications including LEED Gold. A Design Certified Phius CORE 2021 project, the building uses a thermal bridge free envelope and a geothermal heat pump to achieve the strict energy use requirements of Passive House in a cold Catskills environment.

The craftsman style is guided by the architectural style restrictions of the Village of Tannersville and designed to fit within the alpine context.
