Jason Evans Recognized at 2016 40 Under 40 Awards Luncheon

Congratulations to Jason Evans who was announced as one of the 2016 40 Under 40 honorees by the Central New York Business Journal/BizEventz! He was recognized at the awards luncheon on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the Oncenter.

Besides his work as a Project Architect, Jason is also a talented graphic artist. Jason is very passionate about public art, and started the blog, reThink Syracuse. Two downtown art installations were a result of his vision: Arterie, a paint installation that spans two blocks along Erie Boulevard depicting the site of the Erie Canal that once ran through downtown, and Flowscape, the temporary blue and white design at Perseverance Park, which has added vibrancy to the corner of South Salina and Fayette Streets.

Additionally, Jason helped found ReThink81.org, a community group advocating for the removal of the I-81 highway. In 2014, Jason received the Downtown Committee Award of Excellence for his continued positive involvement in downtown Syracuse through public art and community engagement.
