Gregory (NCARB, LEED AP BD+C) joined Ashley McGraw Architects in 2009. He has over 22 years of experience in a broad range of project types with a particular passion for historic preservation. Key project highlights include the new Koffman Southern Tier Incubator in Binghamton, New York, SUCF/SUNY Upstate Medical University Silverman Hall renovation, SUCF/SUNY Polytechnic Institute Campus Center renovation, and Syracuse University Sadler Dining Hall renovation. “I was initially drawn to Ashley McGraw as a firm that shared a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation,” reflected Gregory. “What I have found in the intervening 14 years is an environment where those values are enriched through collaboration with a fantastic group of people. I am honored to be stepping into this new role and am excited to explore all of the new ways we can challenge one another to grow.”
Picciano (RA) has been with Ashley McGraw Architects since 2016. She has over 29 years of experience with K-12, higher education, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation projects. Van Roo joined Ashley McGraw Architects in 2022 to help lead the firm’s affordable housing projects. He has over 10 years’ experience of managing the design of affordable housing projects including award-winning Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program projects across New York State. His deep knowledge of the New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) standards and processes is a key resource to Ashley McGraw Architects’ growing affordable housing portfolio and his careful attention to the design and construction detailing of multifamily buildings adds to our firm’s skill in delivering these projects. On his promotion, Van Roo stated, “I want to express gratitude to the leadership at Ashley McGraw for my appointment to Associate Principal. I am honored to serve in this capacity and your confidence in my abilities means a great deal to me. Your optimism has shaped my attitude and your support has helped guide my professional development. I look forward to the new opportunities this new position presents."
