Andrew Schuster, Principal, presented “From the Design Phase to Construction of a Net Zero Building: How We Built the Sustainable Energy Fund Office Building” at the Advancing Construction Decarbonization Summit in Denver, Colorado. He co-presented with John Costlow, Chief Executive Officer, of The Sustainable Energy Fund. The summit ran from July 31-August 2 and “united over 100 sustainability and project leaders from contracting firms across North America to solve and advance carbon reduction developments.”

Angarano, Principal / Senior Interior Designer, examined case studies of three separate renovation projects: Schine Student Center at Syracuse University, Silverman Hall at SUNY Upstate Medical University, and the Campus Center at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. The presentation discussed how each project “calls for enhanced environments to foster collaboration, discovery, and socially dynamic and diverse spaces.”

Dadgar has a Master of Science in Architecture (Energy | Futures) from Syracuse University, a Master of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, where her thesis project was selected for an honorable mention Student Award by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Guilan + Art University of Tehran, Iran.

Williams graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges this Spring with a Bachelor’s in Media and Society. Nathan was a teaching assistant for two sperate courses and worked closely with faculty to promote various aspects of the colleges’ identity like majors, clubs, events, and community members.

LaFayette Central School District held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of Grimshaw Elementary’s new Library-Media Center as part of the District’s 2020 Capital Project. The new garden-themed library features a maker space, learning commons, expanded seating options, group study areas, and an updated circulation desk. The $8.6 million capital project also includes renovations to the District’s Junior/Senior High School that will be finished around Fall 2023. The project seeks to further the district’s goals of engaging students and helping make them “lifelong learners.”
