New York University Langone Medical Center
New York University Langone Medical Center is one of the leading teaching hospitals in New York, with over 30,000 employees in multiple sites. Childcare is incredibly important to NYU’s commitment to work-life balance and supporting employees who are critical to its mission. We were selected to design their new child and family center at One Park Avenue in Manhattan. Our team worked closely with the medical center’s Facilities team and in-house design team to create a high-quality center reflecting the Institution’s values and best practices in early care and education.
This creative adaptive reuse of a ground-floor retail and an office space was designed to be extremely efficient while maintaining a light, open feel, and generous classroom and enhancement spaces. It features an activity wall with a fish tank and mural, a climbing wall, and a STEM lab.
